The short version: we use a small set of analytics cookies via Google Analytics 4, and nothing else. No advertising cookies, no remarketing pixels, no social-media tracking. The long version follows.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website may place on your device to remember information between visits. Cookies are used for everything from keeping you logged in to tracking your behaviour across the web.
2. Cookies we use
2.1 Analytics (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage of the site. GA4 may set the following first-party cookies on your device:
_ga- identifies a return visitor anonymously. Lifespan: up to 2 years._ga_<ID>- GA4 session state. Lifespan: up to 2 years.
These cookies do not contain personally identifying information. They allow us to see how many people visit the site, where they come from, and which pages are read - but not who you are.
2.2 What we do not use
We do not use:
- Advertising or remarketing cookies
- Social-media tracking pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
- A/B testing or personalisation cookies
- Session-recording or heatmap tools
We also use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, both of which are cookieless and do not set anything on your device.
3. How to opt out
You can opt out of Google Analytics in any of these ways:
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
- Block third-party cookies in your browser settings
- Use a content blocker (e.g. uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger) that disables analytics by default
- Browse this site in a private / incognito window
4. Third-party requests your browser makes
When this site loads, your browser makes requests to a small number of third-party services to fetch resources:
- Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com) - to download the Inter and JetBrains Mono typefaces used on this site - Vercel (
vercel.cominfrastructure) - the platform serving this site
These providers may log technical information (such as your IP address and user-agent string) for security and abuse prevention. They are not under our control, and we do not receive any personal data from these requests. Their own privacy policies apply to those requests.
5. Future changes
If we ever introduce cookies (for example, if we add a contact form or login functionality), we will update this page and present you with a clear consent banner before any non-essential cookies are set.
